An Update
I am finishing up my second week as the store manager for the local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. I am really enjoying it and I like the organization a lot. I like working with the public because it gives me a chance to meet people and find out about them. People have stories and they will talk if you give them the chance. I also get to work with a guy I have known for years. We used to play in a band together back when were just wee-little lads. That is a bonus.
I have been so hell-bent on finding a "ministry" position that I forgot that my every day life can be a hard-core ministry if I am open to the Holy Spirit. I see hurting people come into the store every single day. They may be coming in for building supplies or knick-knacks...but they all have one thing in common. They all need the love of Jesus in their lives. That is my ministry. I have a chance to be Jesus to them. What an awesome responsibility.
